1. Introduction
Reverbwell, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website reverbwell.com (the "Service") -- an AI-powered podcast editing and audio production platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when podcast hosts, audio producers, and creators use the Service, how we use that information, and the choices you have.
Reverbwell's core function is processing podcast audio: hosts upload raw recordings, our AI edit engine processes them, and we return a cleaned and normalized episode file. This Policy explains how we handle both the account data you provide and the audio files you submit for processing.
We are based at 1033 Demonbreun Street, Suite 300, Nashville, TN 37203 and can be reached at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
We collect information you submit directly, including:
- Account details (name, email address, password) when you register for the Service;
- Payment information processed through our payment provider (we do not store raw card numbers);
- Contact details (name, email, message content) when you fill out the contact form or reach us directly;
- Podcast audio files and project metadata you upload for editing.
2.2 Audio Files and Processing Data
When you upload a recording for editing, we process it through the Reverbwell AI edit engine. Your audio file is processed in an isolated compute context. We retain the processed output in your account for the duration your account is active so you can download and re-export it. Raw uploaded files are deleted from our processing environment after the edit pass completes and the output is delivered. We do not use customer-submitted audio recordings to train our AI models. See our blog post "How We Trained Our AI on 10,000 Hours of Podcast Audio" for detail on our training data sourcing.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit reverbwell.com, we automatically collect limited technical information:
- IP address and approximate location (city or region level);
- Browser type, operating system, device class;
- Pages visited, referring URLs, time on page;
- Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 5 and our Cookie Policy).
2.4 We Do Not Knowingly Collect Children's Data
reverbwell.com is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Reverbwell podcast editing service;
- Process and return your edited audio files and transcript data;
- Manage your account, billing, and subscription tier;
- Respond to support inquiries, bug reports, and feature requests;
- Send transactional communications (processing completion notices, subscription receipts, service updates);
- Send marketing communications where you have opted in or where permitted by law;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse of the Service;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information for monetary value. We do not use your submitted audio files for model training without explicit written consent. Where applicable state law treats certain advertising data arrangements as a "sale" or "share," see the state-specific section below.
4. Sharing of Information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf -- such as cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics -- under contractual confidentiality terms that limit their use of data;
- Law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company or others;
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy or a substantially equivalent policy with notice to you.
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not share your audio recordings with any third party except as required to fulfill the processing service (e.g., cloud infrastructure providers under confidentiality obligations).
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, maintain your login session, remember preferences, and measure usage. For details and choices, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain account data and processed episode files for the duration your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal account data and any retained audio files within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for fraud prevention. Raw uploaded files are deleted after processing completes. Server access logs are retained 90 days, then aggregated. Inactive marketing-list contacts who have not engaged are purged after 24 months.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information and audio files, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, restricted-access databases, and least-privilege access controls. Audio files are processed in isolated compute contexts. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your General Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, portability, and the ability to limit certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. See your state's specific section below for details on state-law rights.
